HALLOWEEN PARTY PANOS – FRANKENSTEINS LAB
by Michelle Bienias

Photographer: Ben Pape of Unique Perspectives.

Where: Valley, Nebraska

When: Halloween 2006

What: Halloween Party Panos from the Pape Family Private Halloween Party

Ben Pape’s parents have been hosting a Halloween party at their barn since 1996. It’s quite the event, requiring an invite and the purchase of tickets online. They family’s gone all out designing a Lab of Frankenstein and Mummy’s Tomb. It’s one of the region’s largest parties and attracting 150 to 300 people. “Every year they build a little more and add even more detail,” Pape says. “All the buildings serve as ambience while they party the night away to a live DJ (me), a fried chicken dinner, and much beer.” Prizes are given out for best costume - $100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd, and $25 for 3rd.

How: Pape shot with a Nikon D200 with a 10.5mm Nikkor fisheye and a 360Precision panohead. Postpro on a PowerMac Quad 2.5 / PTGui
