The MIP is an essential component of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. The School hosts a wide and articulate group of research and educational activities in Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering fields. The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, the undergraduates courses, the PhD program in Managerial Engineering and the MIP are part of the School.

The MIP operates with a portfolio of activities that is complementary to that of other internal academic institutions, the Department and the Degree courses, and it focuses particularly on executive training and Master programs.

The MIP Politecnico Milano Virtual Tour is comprised of four panoramas. The virtual tour is available in three formats – Fullscreen QTVR (recommended for those with a high-speed connection), QTVR medium (recommended for those with a dial-up connection) and Java (recommended for those with QuickTime), and is available in Italian and English.
