EDITORIAL Dear Reader, It is with great pleasure, and relief, that we announce the relaunch of VRMag. Our world changed dramatically last September and continues to change with the effects of investor fallout from corporate fraud and a worldwide economic slowdown. This has taken its toll on untold businesses and individuals, and we at VRMag have been no exception. But after much discussion, analysis, and reflection, we have decided to resume publication of VRMag. Of course, like many of you, we are now doing more with fewer resources, but we hope that this leaner body will develop into a finely tuned efficient machine... an Olympic athlete of sorts. Now more than ever, we are dependent on our readers for our success and continued evolution. We've made some changes and are now actively seeking contributions from the VR community. As always, we welcome your feedback, criticism, ideas and input. I'm very excited about the results from our shoot of the Parma Baptistery and Duomo. It took a Herculean effort to postproduce the images for our deadline, but I think the results speak for themselves. We feel very fortunate to have procured one of our most popular writers,Doug DeRusha, for two Q & A articles with the superb VR photographers Scott Highton and Bostjan Burger. The articles contain a wealth of information and are not to be missed. With this issue, I'd also like to introduce and direct your attention to our new columnist, Rich Studer. Rich is heavily immersed in the recording industry and we've always enjoyed his unique view of the world. Check out 'Sound Bytes' to read what Rich has to say about computers and music. I hope you enjoy the new issue and I look forward to hearing from you. Marco Trezzini Editorial Director
